The Lexdot Marketplace Code of Conduct outlines the standards of professionalism, integrity, and responsible participation expected from all users of our global legal collaboration platform. Whether you are a Service Provider, Client, or Community Member, adherence to these principles ensures a trusted, compliant, and respectful environment for cross-border legal engagement.

This Code establishes the behavioural expectations, ethical obligations, and compliance requirements necessary to protect users, prevent misconduct, and uphold the laws and professional rules governing legal services and related support. By using Lexdot, you agree to follow these standards and contribute to a marketplace built on transparency, respect, and accountability.

Lexdot Marketplace Code of Conduct

  1. Maintain professional, respectful, and ethical interactions at all times.

  2. Accurately represent qualifications, licensure, and services offered.

  3. Respect client confidentiality and data protection standards.

  4. Refrain from unauthorized practice of law or offering legal advice where unlicensed.

  5. Report misconduct, unethical behavior, or platform abuse to Lexdot.

  6. Use platform tools responsibly, ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations.

UPL Compliance Guide

Purpose: To ensure all legal professionals and support staff on the Lexdot platform comply with local laws regarding the practice of law.

1. Licensed Professionals

May provide legal advice only in jurisdictions where they are licensed.

Must maintain current licenses and professional memberships.

2. Non-Licensed Roles (Support & Administrative)

May provide research, drafting, document review, and administrative services.

Must never provide legal advice, representation, or opinion to clients.

3. Platform Guidelines

Profile descriptions must not imply licensure or authorization in jurisdictions where unlicensed.

All communications must be factual, compliance-safe, and professional.

4. Enforcement

Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.

Providers remain responsible for any regulatory or legal claims arising from UPL violations.
